We all carry stories in our minds of how the future will look. Surprisingly, some of us have poorly programmed beliefs that are directing our lives. If you have one of these in operation, it’s mighty difficult to feel good about yourself or motivated about your future.

In all of these examples, you have negative beliefs about yourself and your world that are completely wrong. There is no truth in any of these beliefs. But thinking them makes them seem real to you.
Developing A Positive Attitude
The aim in life isn’t to get rid of the stories in your head. The aim is to develop positive stories that are full of success. How do you see yourself in your mind’s eye? Is the story you’re telling yourself about tomorrow a good one?
One of the most critical self motivation skills you can ever hope to acquire is the ability to talk to yourself in a positive way. The mind likes to play tricks and be negative. Don’t let it. In every situation, there are a million possible interpretations. If you always look for the good story that is empowering, you will find your life slowly becomes positive and full of richness.
That is why Buddha is said “what we think, we become.” Never underestimate the power of your own mind in creating your life.
